How to control the desktop

Magnus has a nice German article about a new scenario: you can control your computer by one or more (up to eight) fingers … Mmh … I think I have read something like that from Microsoft Surface or Apple iPod Touch or iPhone or Dell Latitude XT Tablet PC . But the difference is that this solution from Fraunhofer Heinrich-Hertz-Institut Berlin works „just“ with two infrared cameras (and „normal“ equipment?).
